Collections include items regarding Czech and Czechoslovak military science and armed forces. The largest one consists of weapons and armament; there is also a great deal of uniforms, gear and equipment. What also belongs to the Institute is the Prague Aviation Museum in Kbely, the Military Technical Museum in Le\u0161any, as well as a unique collection of art paintings by painters-legionnaires, who fought on fronts during World War 1 in Russia, France or Italy.
